Granville Inn – Joe + Lindsey
I’m so excited to share Joe and Lindsey’s wedding on the blog today! They got married in June of last year but were feature on One Fab Day so I didn’t get the chance to share it here. The fun part of sharing this now is that J + L decided to have a small intimate wedding with less than 30 guests! In these unprecedented and uncertain times in the wedding industry we are all finding ways to be creative and create beautiful moments and memories however we can. So sit back and enjoy some inspiration and advice from Lindsey in how to throw an elegant yet simple celebration for a small group of friends and family!
We wanted to have a simple and elegant wedding. But it was also important to both of us to keep our wedding intimate and focused on God, our marriage, and family, instead of just our wedding day. The best way for us to do that was to keep the guest-list small and include special personal elements from our loved ones. Joe wore his grandfather’s favorite Mickey Mouse watch, and I wore pearls my grandfather gave my grandma and her handkerchief. We wanted to have special elements from our grandfathers, since they’re not here to celebrate with us. Our tables were decorated with silver candelabras that Joe’s grandfather brought back from one of his trips to England, and my sister created the signs for our reception. Everything came together beautifully on our wedding day, and we loved seeing special keepsakes throughout our day.
The best advice I give my friends planning their wedding is keep it small and simple! We loved having the time to see and visit with everyone there!
